There are 3 major means of transportation. Transportation by land, water and air. Who we are and where we are heading determines which means to follow.
In the land category, we can go through luxurious buses or by train. If we are to go by train, then we need to get to where we can find a train terminal.
Bringing us back to the main focus of this post, which is why trains are the safest means of transportation, I would love to express my view on this subject matter and why I feel train trips are the safest.
It was interesting learning about various means of transportation in kiddies school since we were not exposed to some of them, especially the Air and railway transportation.
I started developing the thought of railways being the safest means of transportation because I heard of a lot of car accidents and also witnessed some of these tragic incidents.
Plane crashes were only read and heard in the news but I never heard about or witnessed train accidents or train crashes.
Though each means of transportation is associated with its specific risk or challenges, some are safer.
The risk in Bus trip

There are lots of risks associated with bus trips. For example, buses run on Lanes , and these lanes are being shared.
You see other buses overtaking while others are on the opposing lane. Any slide mistake from the overtaking vehicle or the opposing vehicle can lead to disasters and loss of lives.
Another risk in a bus trip is that if the bus is running at high speed, a match in the break can cause the vehicle to tumble.
However, despite the risk involved in bus trips, it still remains the most common, affordable and shortest means of transportation.
The risk in Air Trip
Going on an Air Trip can be interesting especially if it is your first time.
We all know that no other means of transportation frightens people as flying a plane, especially when the arise complications that might be beyond engineers or pilot's capacity.
This becomes life threatening because there is no escape road. You may not be courageous enough to jump out with the parachute.
Nevertheless, do not worry , aviation companies are working very hard to ensure people have safe flight trips.
Why Train Trip Is The Safest

Train Trips remain, and will always be the safest way of transporting ourselves from one point to another.
Though train stations or terminals are not really common, it is the only means of transportation with the lowest number of risks and accidents associated with it.
Below are 4 key reasons why Train trip remains the Safest
1.No opposing railway: Unlike road transportations where there are two or more lanes. The rail way only goes in one direction. There is no opposing train or one train trying to overtake another.
This factor alone reduces accidents and casualties.
2.Easy escape route: Exception of overhead railways , if there should be any casualties encountered by the train, passengers can easily get themselves off the train with less injuries compared to other means of transportations.
3.Train can't summersault: Due to the nature and the designs trains are made up,no matter how fast the train may go,it can never summersault.
5. Train goes on steady Movement
One of the things I love about trains is that they don't stop for every dick and Harry. They only stop in their terminals.
This saves passengers from encountering casualties along the rail way like robbery or any other form of social vices.
Every form of transportation are unique in its own ways as they serve different purposes. And the distance of our destination determines which means to follow.
Whatever the means we follow, it is expedient that full safety measures are carefully followed.
